By downloading or using the Be Unchained Android application ("the app"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Be Unchained is a self-control and content-blocking tool. It filters access to adult and distracting content on your device and offers a commitment lock and uninstall protection that you choose to enable to help you stick to your goals.
Some features are designed to make it deliberately difficult to weaken or remove your protection before a commitment period ends. By enabling these features you understand and accept that you may not be able to disable protection or uninstall the app until your chosen commitment has elapsed or the required challenge is completed. This is the intended behavior of an accountability tool. Please choose your commitment length thoughtfully.
Be Unchained significantly reduces access to blocked content, but no filter is perfect. New sites, alternative networks, other devices and technical workarounds may allow some content through. The app is a tool to support your intentions, not a guarantee, and it does not replace personal responsibility or professional help where needed.
Paid plans are offered as subscriptions billed through Google Play. Prices are shown in the app before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your Google Play account before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in Google Play; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
You agree to use the app only for lawful, personal purposes and not to attempt to misuse, reverse engineer, or interfere with its protection mechanisms in a way that harms other users.
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
